Grenadier Fantasy Lords Goblin (first series)

Grenadier first series fantasy lords Goblin 108

I’ve been quiet for a while, only because work commitments in the run up to Christmas had completely monopolised my time. Digging through the “WIP” box, I found this odd fella primed and ready, and it looked interesting enough to jump the queue ahead of the useful things I’ve got on the go (a tavern, some barbarians and a handful of villagers still to finish).

Anyway – It took a while for me to identify this one, only because the base appeared to be cut down when I found it in a job lot of late 80s Grenadier, and it stood out as not being anything like the other miniatures in the box, in terms of scale and character.

This Goblin is from the first series of fantsasy lords blisters, and is one of four poses included. I like the sculpt on this one, it has a crossbow and quiver slung on its back – it gives it more of an adventurer feel and I’m hoping this will pass for a lone half orc at some point in our campaign. I also like the odd shaped helm, lizard-like face, and snake symbol on the sleeve, it makes this chap feel very different to every other goblin(s) I have.

It was painted with citadel paints, and finished in Satin spray varnish.

Special thanks to the Old School Miniatures Facebook group for helping me identify this one.
